One interesting fact about Malaysia, that I didn’t mention my last post is that when you get a visa for Malaysia, in your passport says that if you take drugs into the country you will get a death penalty (Trafficking of illegal drugs carries death penalty).
Kuala Lumpur is nothing special. There are a few good places but if was to make a plan for this trip again, I would have skipped it. But if you are already in Kuala Lumpur, take a look at the video in which I summed up the cool things you can do and experience:
In KL I ate the best Dim sum, the biggest variety of fruit, of which the most interesting is definitely durian. It is the smelliest fruit I’ve ever smelt in my entire life. The smell has nothing to do with the taste, because if you plug your nose, you will be very comfortable while eating. It has a silky texture, it is soft and melts in your mouth, a little sharp but sweetish taste. This fruit is very popular in Asia and it is also most expensive. Pregnant women must not eat it because it raises blood pressure. You must not mix it with Coca-Cola and beer. More about Durian you can see in this post.
Also I really liked fruit that is called Dragon fruit (Pitaya). For me, it’s the best looking fruit in the world. Later I found out it is very healthy. Read this article if you want to know more: 10 Amazing Health Benefits of Dragon Fruit. It is refreshing, crisp like a watermelon and soft as a banana. It can be red and white.
In the next post I’ll have guest who will talk about Malaysian food. Stay tuned. 🙂
